The Midlanders clearly see signs of progress emerging in the team after the side recorded an impressive win over Cavan in this years qualifiers and the County Board were quick to sign their manager up for another year at the helm.

Longford were eventually defeated in the Qualifiers by 3 time Champions Tyrone after a closely fought contest in Pearse Park.

The ex Kildare Centre Back has slowly but surely brought confidence back into the ranks of the panel and is able to draw upon the talents of players like Paul Barden, Sean McCormack and Brian Kavanagh.

Longford will clearly be hoping for more progress next season and an extended run in the Leinster Championship.
