Gavin Henson has been named in Warren Gatland’s 35 man training squad ahead of the Six Nations.
The 29 year old was part of Wales’ Grand Slam winning sides in 2005 and 2008, but he has not appeared in a Six Nations match for Wales since 2009.
Henson has 33 caps for Wales, but his last appearance for the national team was a friendly with England before the World Cup, when the centre dislocated a bone in his wrist.
Henson joined Cardiff Blues in October 2011 but has only played in three games in that time.
Warren Gatland has also named six uncapped players in the squad; Ospreys’ Ashley Beck and Rhys Webb, Cardiff Blues’ Harry Robinson and Scarlets trio Liam Williams, Rhodri Jones and Lou Reed.
