Out-half Stephen Jones has joined up with Wales’ 6 Nations training squad in Gdansk, Poland.
The 34 year old was originally left out of the squad, but a knee injury to start Rhys Priestland and James Hook’s participation with Perpignan this weekend has left Warren Gatland short of fly-half options.
Priestland is a doubt for Wales’ 6 Nations opener against Dublin on February 5th and Gatland will be keen to ensure he has good kicking depth in his squad.
A statement from the Welsh Rugby Union said: “Wales have called Stephen Jones out to their RBS Six Nations training camp in Poland.
“Jones provides extra training cover in the fly-half position and is available for full training from today (Friday).”
