The Paul Nolan-trained Joncol heads the list of the 9 declared runners in tomorrow’s Hennessy Gold Cup. Leopardstown regulars Money Trix and The Listener are big players, while Kempes, Glencove Marina and China Rock are also interesting contenders.

All of the main protagonists have stood their ground at this stage in the other three Grade 1 races on Saturday’s card. Zaidpour, Hidden Universe and Shot From The Hip catch the eye in the Deloitte Novice Hurdle, Unaccompanied and Indian Daudaie head a stellar cast of four-year-olds in the Tote Jackpot Spring Juvenile Hurdle, while Mikael D’Haguenet’s credentials will be severely tested by Magnanimity and Bostons Angel in the Dr PJ Moriarty Novice Chase.

Officials at Leopardstown today described track conditions as ‘Heavy’ and ‘Soft to Heavy’ in places ahead of the rescheduled Hennessy Gold Cup Day at Leopardstown tomorrow, which features an exciting line up including four Grade 1 races.
