Ireland coach Declan Kidney has confirmed speculation that he has been contacted over the vacant British and Irish Lions head coach position.
Kidney is one of the favourites for the Lions jobs, with Wales’ Warren Gatland and Scotland’s Andy Robinson also in contention.
Kidney said: “I got a phone call about it (Lions head coach job), so I just said ‘yeah’.
“Anyone would be interested in going on the Lions but that’s it. I’m more interested in beating Wales in two weeks’ time. That’s the only thing I’m thinking about.”
