Manchester City are back on the trail of Napoli duo Marek Hamsik and Ezequiel Lavezzi according to the club’s first-team coach Fausto Salsano.
Slovakian international Hamsik and Argentinean striker Lavezzi have impressed for both club and country in recent seasons and have been linked with a number of club’s throughout Europe.
Roberto Mancini has long been linked with Hamsik, who he was keen to sign for Inter, and with the club looking at replacements for the unsettled Carlos Tevez a move for the 24 year old could be on the cards.
15 times capped Lavezzi meanwhile, like his club mate, has also has caught the eye of several clubs after impressing for Napoli over the last few seasons and impressed during Napoli’s recent 1-1 draw with City in the Champions League.
Speaking to Radio CRC Salsano revealed City’s interest in the pair saying “They are two players who we like because our objective at City is to do great things and win. Hamsik has become an important player with the right experience, while Lavezzi is devastating and can hurt people in one on one situations.”
