Martin Ormonde, was the star on view hitting 2-8, as Fingal easily overcame a poor Monaghan challenge in Swords.
The home side’s first goal came from St Brigid’s forward Cian O’Mahoney who, after Monaghan goalkeeper Hugh Byrne saved his first shot, pounced on the rebound.
The second half was again dominated by Ormonde, a former Waterford underage player as his accuracy from placed balls saw him send over four more frees and he had the last word as he scored his second and Fingal’s fourth goal.
