Rafael Nadal is through to the Australian Open final after beating Roger Federer 6-7, 6-2, 7-6, 6-4 in Melbourne.

In an exciting match, the Spaniard continued his impressive form against Federer. Nadal has now beaten Federer eight times in 10 matches at majors.

Nadal will now go in search of an 11th major and second Australian Open, while Roger Federer has now gone eight majors without a title.

Federer started brilliantly and took the first set in a tiebreaker. Nadal pressured his opponent throughout, however, and Federer ended with 63 unforced errors.

Nadal’s forehand was particularly impressive and the Spaniard won three sets in a row to reach the final. Nadal now has an 18-9 all-time record against Federer.
