O’Loughlin Gaels of Kilkenny had to come from behind to claim their second Leinster Club Hurling title with a 0-14 to 1-8 win over Oulart-The Ballagh of Wexford this afternoon.

Rory Jacob gave the Wexford champions a commanding lead after just five minutes when he found the back of the net, but the accuracy of Mark Bergin from frees kept O’Loughlin Gaels in the match. He scored four, and his side were behind by just a point, 1-4 to 0-6, at halftime. Gaels were lucky as Jacob missed an Oulart penalty in first half injury time.

O’Loughlin Gaels played much better in the second period but it was not until the final minute of the match that they went in front for the first time courtesy of Bergin’s sixth point. Late scores from Seanie Cummins and Brian Dowling sealed an All-Ireland semi-final slot against Ulster champions Loughgiel.
