Shefflin, Canning and Murphy fight it out at All-Star Hurling awards

Galway’s Joe Canning will face Kilkenny’s Henry Shefflin,and Paul Murphy again as the nominees for the 2012 GAA GPA Hurler of the Year award, while Galway duo Johnny Coen and Niall Burke are nominted alongside Dublin’s Danny Sutcliffe for the Young Player award.

Of the 45 players nominated for the All Star team, 14 are from Galway, 12 are from Kilkenny and Tipperary have six, Sutcliffe is the only Dublin to make the list.
