The big shock of round one of the 2011 Sigerson Cup came in Clontarf where pre-tournament favourites DIT were beaten by UL.
Paul Galvin did not make an appearance for the Dublin college. UUJ easily overcame Cork IT by 1-16 to 0-4 in Thursday’s first-round tie but Queen’s and St Mary’s were both knocked out of the competition.
