Aston Villa bound Enda Stevens has spoken about his excitement at his impending move to the Premier League.
The Shamrock Rovers full back, who has won back to back league titles with the Tallaght based League of Ireland side, signed a pre-contract agreement with Alex McLeish side in August and is now set to complete his switch to Villa Park on Monday signing a three-and-a-half-year deal.
Speaking to The Herald, the 21 year old said “It will be hard to get into the team but I am to hit the ground running and see if I can break in. It’s a massive club but hopefully it can happen for me,”
“There will be a different level in terms of the training and the way players are prepared. Villa are a full-time club with so much money involved. It’s going to be a better set-up compared to Ireland.
“I’m not that nervous as I was over there for a week already. I got that out of the way, and the players over there were really good to me, and Richard Dunne went out of his way to welcome me.”
