Arsenal, along with the returning Thierry Henry, travel to Swansea in the Barclay’s Premier League on Sunday afternoon, kick off 4.00pm.
Having made a celebrated return against Leeds Utd recently, Henry will look to continue his fairytale reunion with the London club, as the look to close the gap on the league leaders.
Speaking ahead of the game Henry was full of praise for Swansea and expects a tough encounter come Sunday. ““Swansea are an amazing team,” said the Frenchman.
“I’ve been more than impressed with them, they play football the right way, they’re dangerous, they play with two great wingers and we know it’s going to be a difficult game for us.”
The mutual respect between the two teams extends to Swansea too, with manager Brendan Rodgers, full of praise for the visitors. “We are really looking forward to the challenge and it’s going to be a fantastic game,” he told the club’s official website.
“We understand the task in front of us, Arsenal have many top players and Robin van Persie is one of the top strikers in world football.
“I know we have grown as a team since we played them last and we’re improving all the time.
“I’ve had great belief all along but I think more than anything we have surprised a lot of people.
“As our game has been brought to the nation and to a global audience, we’ve captured the attention of people and our philosophy has been cemented.”
Despite the respect between the two sides there are still three points on the line. Even with a returning Henry in their side the vote, narrowly, goes to Swansea to keep their good home record intact. Swansea to win.
