Three, Ireland’s largest high speed network and proud sponsors of the Irish national football team, today announces a new sponsorship deal with the Herald’s ‘Striker’ magazine, a dedicated Junior and Schoolboy soccer magazine.
On top of their new sponsorship deal with the award-winning football supplement, Three will also be running a competition throughout the month of September where Herald readers will get the opportunity to win a whopping €10,000 for their chosen football club, simply by collecting tokens in the daily paper.
Speaking at the announcement of the new Striker sponsorship deal, Elaine Carey, Sales and Marketing Director at Three said: “We’re delighted to be on board with Striker magazine for the new football season. Grassroots football is hugely important to Three and is an area we have invested a lot in and will continue to invest a lot in into the future. Partnering with Striker will allow us to reach the most important people when it comes to grassroots football in Ireland.”
Stephen Rae, Editor of the Evening Herald said: ”We are delighted with the tie-in between Three and the Herald. Our Striker supplement is the voice of football in Ireland and Three are the national team sponsors, so it’s a great partnership. Together we will deliver the best sports package in amateur football to fans, players and families alike.”
To date over 285 clubs have raised more than €300,000 for their clubs through Three’s grassroots affinity scheme which gives local football clubs the chance to earn money for their club simply by switching to Three. Three are committed to increasing this investment figure to €1m by the end of the 2013 football season.
Whether it’s to improve facilities, buy new kits or help with coaching development, funding and support is hugely important to local Irish football clubs and Three is dedicated to continuously offering support at grassroots level.
