Tyrone 2-11 Fermanagh 0-11
Tyrone continued their unbeaten run in this season’s McKenna Cup when they overcame Fermanagh earlier tonight.
Fermanagh started this game the brighter and quickly raced into a 0-2 to 0-0 lead before Cavanagh pulled a point back for Mickey Harte’s side. The men in green then added further scores from a free and open play to stretch their lead out to 0-4 to 0-1.Another Fermanagh score made it 0-5 to 0-1 before Martin Penrose narrowed the gap with a well taken point for Tyrone.

The latter added a free to give Tyrone the lead soon after but Fermanagh levelled through O’Flanagan. The sides went in level at the interval, 1-3 to 0-6, but Tyrone were fortunate as they were completely outplayed in the opening half.
A goal from Girvan after the restart settled the game in Tyrones favour and there was to be no way back got Fermanagh after that. They added the next two scores to narrow the gap but the three pointers they conceded were always likely to prove crucial. McElroy drew Fermanagh level before Tyrone retook the lead through McNiece.Fermanagh fought back to level once more before a fisted point from McGuigan gave Tyrone a one point advantage(2-5 to 0-10).
Cavanagh and McGrath then swapped points from placed balls before Penrose and Davey Harte put some daylight between the sides. The former added two further scores, one each from a free and open play to end any chance Fermanagh had and leave the final score at 2-11 to 0-11.
