Ulster have named their team to play Edinburgh in Saturday’s Heineken Cup semi-final at Aviva Stadium (kick-off 5:45pm).
Chris Henry will miss out with an ankle sprain while Paddy Jackson will start at out-half.
Other injury concerns Paddy Wallace, Pedrie Wannenburg and Paul Marshall have all been passed fit, with the latter named among the replacements.
Forward lynchpin Stephen Ferris and Ireland captain Rory Best return having been rested for last week’s Rabo Direct fixtures. Dan Tuohy also returns at lock.
Brian McLaughlin has named an unchanged back line for Saturday’s game, meaning Paddy Jackson gets the nod over Ian Humphreys at out half.
In what is Ulster’s biggest game since winning the 1999 Heineken Cup, manager Brian McLoughlin admitted that some players were disappointed to have missed out: “Nobody wants to miss an occasion like this. These kind of games don’t come around too often; it’s been 13 years since we’ve had a game this big. It really wasn’t easy selecting the squad this week,” he said.
