The Olympic and world champion Usain Bolt has been confirmed for the 100 meters at the Herculis Diamond League meeting in Monaco in July.

The current world record holder sees the July 22 meet as one of his main targets in the lead up to the Aug. 27-Sep. 4 World Championships in Daegu, South Korea. Bolt is also expected to run over 200 meters in Paris earlier in the month.

The Jamaican will be attempting to secure another triple gold at the World Championships in the 100, 200 and sprint relay. He is also the reigning Olympic champion and world-record holder in the three events. Bolt is on record as saying that he likes “the warm weather and the fast track” of Monaco’s Stade Louis II.
