Will Rodgers replace King Harry?

Updated: April 19, 2012

With speculation rife regarding the vacant England manager post and Harry Redknapp still being the name on everyone’s lips Tottenham Hotspur seem to be lining up a list of candidates in case the worst happens and they lose their much coveted manager.

Carlo Ancelotti appears to be top of the Spurs wanted list if the FA come calling for Redknapp but the monetary demands of the Paris St-Germain manager could prove to be a stumbling block. According to reports on Setanta Swansea City manager Brendan Rodgers is thought to be high on the list as well.

Swansea are likely to do all in their power to keep their man after impressing everyone on the way to steering the Swans to 12th in the English Premier League with forty-two points and for games left Rodgers looks to have defied all of the critics who expected them to drop straight back into the Championship.

Harry Redknapp taking the reins at England is by no means a certainty but if the FA do decide on Harry, Rodgers’ brand of football and his transfer acumen will be a welcome addition to White Hart Lane.
