Irish champion trainer Willie Mullins had a day to remember at Punchestown on Sunday when he saddled five winners on the six-race card.

Golden Silver won the first race on the card when accounting for champion trainer, Big Zeb, in the featured Tied Cottage Chase. Mullins then added further victories with Some Target, Gagewell Flyer, Raptor and Celtic Folklore.

Paul Townend partnered the first four winners, with the trainer’s son Patrick aboard Celtic Folklore.

“It’s fantastic,” said Mullins. “I came here thinking Gagewell Flyer would be my one winner and never thought I’d had five. Paul was fantastic and the horses seem in great order.”

Reflecting on Golden Silver’s win, Mullins added: “Maybe we caught Big Zeb on the hop. He may have just relaxed a bit and it worked for us.”
