Ralph Rangnick will get his first chance to claim a win as he plays the Gunners at home in a tough midweek clash in the Premier League

Man United v Arsenal will kick off at 20:15 tonight, Thursday 2nd December in Old Trafford. Referee Martin Atkinson will take charge of the tie.

For those that could not claim a ticket, the match will also be shown live on Premier Sports ROI 1.

This week is the beginning of a transition in Manchester United. On Sunday, German manager Ralf Rangnick was officially appointed as the club’s new boss. He will need to impose his mantra quickly as the club are now three games without a wing.

The Reds team is also hampered by injuries so the new head coach will not have a full list to choose from. This important game will still be the idle moment to endear himself to the Old Trafford faithful.

Mikel Arteta has begun to build a very threatening and consistent side with the young Arsenal team. Since a poor 4-0 loss to Liverpool in November, the Gunners are on a three-game winning streak while Aaron Ramsdale has kept three clean sheets.

They sit in fifth place now but a victory will jump them ahead of West Ham United into the Champions League places. It could be some very important points for the club also resigning their rivals to the tenth place in the table.

Many would consider this fixture to be one of the historic and important matchups in the Premier Leagues’ lifetime. Two of the most successful clubs in the competition but Manchester United have a slight advantage going by statistics. The Red Devils have won 11 of their last 25 games while the Gunners have seven wins and the remaining seven are draws.

Last season was quite an uneventful year for this fixture with only one goal score in both matches combined. Arsenal won the first game away from home while the most recent game in January ended 0-0 in the Emirates Stadium.

This set up to be the biggest and most eye-watering matchup of the midweek fixtures. The match looks to be a six-pointer game that could prove important in how the European places are given out but it is hard to see a victor in this battle between Arteta and Rangnick.

Expect this game to end 1-1 with the sides sharing the points.

Thomas Tuchel takes on Michael Carrick in the match of the weekend with the Reds needing a win off the league leaders

Chelsea v Man United will kick off at 16:30 on Sunday 28th November in Stamford Bridge. Referee Anthony Taylor will take charge of the tie.

For those who could not get a ticket, the match will also be shown live on Sky Sports Premier League Ireland.

Chelsea have continued their strong run since losing to Juventus in September. Tuchel’s side are now 10 games unbeaten with only two of those games being draws. They continue to sit on top of the league, three points ahead of Liverpool and Manchester City.

The squad survived well with their first bout of injuries but now with the return of Lukaku and Pulisic, the club is now missing Kovacic, Kanté, and Chilwell for the foreseeable future.

On the other side of the pitch, Manchester United have grown into a joke team in the Premier League. After a bad spell of results, they languish in eighth place, six points off a Champions League place.

Now with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer departed from the club, it looks like Ralf Rangnick will take charge. It will be interesting to see if he can get the most out of the stars as well as the young guns.

This fixture is one of the most long-awaited and hotly contested games of the year. They have faced each other 33 times since 2010 with Man United winning the slight majority with 12 victories. Chelsea have claimed 11 wins while ten games have also ended in draws.

Although this is a matchup of two of the most successful Premier League clubs, it has been a boring affair of late. Last season, both games ended in uneventful 0-0 stalemates.

Now both teams have different managers and styles so this match will depend much more on recent form.

Chelsea v Man United Probable Starting Teams

Chelsea FC

Formation

3-4-2-1

Probable Starting 11

Mendy (GK), Azpilicueta, Christensen, Rudiger, Alonso, Jorginho, Saul, James, Ziyech, Mount, Lukaku.

Injuries / Suspensions

Chilwell (Cruciate ligament), Havertz (Hamstring), Kovacic (Hamstring), Kanté (Knee),

Manchester United

Formation

4-2-3-1

Probable Starting 11

De Gea (GK), Telles, Lindelof, Bailly, Wan-Bissaka, McTominay, Van de Beek, Rashford, Fernandes, Sanches, Ronaldo.

Injuries / Suspensions

Cavani (Tendon injury), Greenwood (Covid-19), Pogba (Thigh), Varane (Hamstring), Maguire (Red card)

Chelsea v Man United Match Betting

Chelsea FC to win: 4/7

Draw: 14/5

Manchester United to win: 9/2

Score Prediction

United fans might be in high spirits with the new interim managerial appointment but it will be too soon for Michael Carrick and Rangnick to make a difference in Manchester. Chelsea have the stronger team and clearer tactics and this will shine through at the weekend.

Expect the game to end 4-1 to Chelsea.

Rooney, Schmeichel, Giggs: The Greatest ever Manchester United All-Time XI

Rooney, Schmeichel, Giggs. What is the Greatest ever Manchester United All-Time XI? Manchester United are the biggest and most well-known club in English football history. An unprecedented trophy haul, containing 20 League titles, 12 FA Cups and three European titles to their name.

Manchester United have such a great history and from that great history has come an abundance of great players.

From the likes of Steve Bruce to David Beckham, Manchester United have produced some of the most lucrative and special players in English football.

With that in mind, here is a look at Manchester United’s All-Time XI:

Rooney, Schmeichel, Giggs: The Greatest ever Manchester United All-Time XI

Peter Schmeichel

What can be said about the Big Dane that hasn’t been mentioned before? Schmeichel arrived in Manchester in 1991 and would play a further 7 seasons at Old Trafford.

Making 128 clean sheets in the Premier League in 310 appearances, while making 169 clean sheets during his 376 games in all competitions for the Red Devils.

He went on to win 5 Premier League titles, 7 domestic cups and two European trophies. He was also part of the Treble from 1999.

A brilliant shot-stopper with a love for theatrics, Schmeichel was an imposing figure in between the sticks, standing at 6ft 3 inches tall, he was rarely beaten in the air during his career.

Only Edwin Van Der Sar can rival his status as United’s all-time greatest goalkeeper, but Schmeichel was on another level when it comes to how iconic he was.

Dennis Irwin

A throw of the coin for the left-back position, Dennis Irwin and Patrice Evra both have strong arguments to justify their inclusion on this list.

However, I am going for Irwin on this one due to his acute ability to go forward and defend at such a high level for a player with limitations.

Playing a grand total of 529 times for United from 1990 to 2002, he managed to notch up 37 goals and 23 assists in all competitions during his 12-year stint at Old Trafford.

Part of some of the greatest teams to come out of Manchester United, Irwin went on to win 7 Premier League titles, 6 domestic cups and 4 European trophies, including a Champions League from their treble-winning season.

A United and Republic of Ireland great, he was so good that Sir Alex Ferguson admitted back in 2013 that Irwin ”would be the one certainty to get in the team” (when discussing a United all-time XI)

Now, who am I to argue with Ferguson.

Nemanja Vidic

Being part of the greatest centre-back pairings with Rio Ferdinand, Vidic was the aggressive defender out of the two with a knack for throwing his body about.

Making 211 Premier League appearances for United from 2006 to 2014, Vidic is the only defender in Premier League history to win two Player of the Year awards. He also made the PFA Team of the Year on four separate occasions.

Winning 5 Premier Leagues, 8 domestic trophies and two European trophies during his 8 seasons.

While he did have moments of madness, picking up 8 red cards and 58 bookings, he will go down as one of the greatest and scariest defenders in United’s history.

Rio Ferdinand

Acting as captain throughout his United career, Ferdinand joined United from Leeds United for a record £30 million at the time.

He went on to make 455 club appearances, scoring 8 goals in the process.

A defender with pace, elegance and an astute reading of the game, Ferdinand is United’s greatest ever Centre-Back and formed an unquestionably formidable partnership with Nemanja Vidic which saw the pair win mostly everything.

Gary Neville

Joining the club in 1991, Neville has gone on to become United’s greatest full-back, with 20 years of service for the club.

Never a player to contribute to the attack, scoring as little as 7 goals during his 602 club appearances for the club, Neville was a leader of men. Vocal and single-minded in his approach.

Retiring in 2011, Neville captained United to many League titles during his two-decade stint at the club. Winning 8 of United’s 13 Premier League titles, he has gone on to win domestic and European cups numerous times as a United stalwart.

Roy Keane

Manchester United’s captain for the majority of their most successful period in the club’s history, Keane was the catalyst for driving United through many of their toughest battles on the pitch.

Making 480 appearances and scoring 51 goals from 1993 to 2005, the battle-hardened Keane was a monster to play against.

While he could do many things with a ball, it was his leadership qualities and overall intimidation factor that proved to be his best attributes. He won 13 major honours, including seven Premier League titles during his 12-year stint at Old Trafford. He will go down as their most influential player in history.

Paul Scholes

The ginger prince as many called him during his 22-year career at Old Trafford, Scholes was an exceptionally gifted footballer with a knack for a pass.

Making 718 appearances for the club and scoring 155 goals, Scholes won everything with the club. Picking up 20 major trophies, with 11 of those being Premier League titles.

His ability to make pinpoint passes from deep was his greatest attribute, he could also hit a 30-yeard screamer from time to time.

While his tackling was questionable, his pure aggression and work rate overshadowed his deficiencies for the most part. His control on the ball was also a sight to behold. A misplaced Scholes pass would be a rarity.

Even at the age of 37, he contributed to United winning their 20th League title, coming out of retirement to give Ferguson one last hurrah.

Ryan Giggs

A one-club man, Ryan Giggs spent 26 years as a Manchester United player, making his debut in 1991. The Welshman became one of the greatest – if not the greatest winger in Premier League history.

Making an astounding 963 appearances for United, he scored 168 goals for the club and won 25 major honours, 13 of those being Premier League titles.

As a youngster, Giggs was a ruthless and exciting player, skilful and extremely quick with the ball at his feet, he was a dynamic left-footer, although he adapted as his career went on and played in numerous positions going forward.

It will be his longevity that will see him make a lot of people’s lists and it’s hard to argue with that.

Cristiano Ronaldo

A superstar in his own right, Cristiano Ronaldo is without doubt Manchester United’s best-ever player (in terms of ability).

Starting out as a scrawny and rough 18-year-old Portuguese winger, Ronaldo made his debut in 2003 against Bolton Wanderers at Old Trafford. It took him at least two seasons to properly develop, but once he did he was beyond unstoppable.

Winning the Ballon D’or in 2008, he was the best player in the world while at Man United and left his mark with 127 goals in 303 appearances, winning 8 major honours during his time in England.

Strong, fast, skilful and a monster in the air, Ronaldo was a pain for many Premier League defenders during his first stint in England. Adapting into more of a striker, Ronaldo has come up with numerous clutch moments during his career and will continue to do so.

Now, at the age of 36, Ronaldo is back in England hoping to rediscover the same success he had all them years ago.

Eric Cantona

Never a man to shy away from the spotlight nor controversy, Eric Cantona is similar to a fabled fairy tale within the Manchester United consciousness.

Being part of the great United sides from the early to mid-1990s, Cantona was a strong, bullish and clinical forward with the ball at his feet.

He intimidated opponents with his mere presence and gave United another option in their already established forward line.

While he only made 182 appearances from 1992 to 1997 scoring 82 goals, he was a major reason as to why Man United won four league titles in five years, along with two FA Cups.

Wayne Rooney

Manchester United’s greatest ever player. Wayne Rooney became Manchester United’s top goalscorer with 253 goals, while he sits second in the all-time Premier League goalscorer list with an incredible 208 goals.

Blessed with pace and power, Rooney was one of the best youngsters to ever come out of England. Joining United in 2004 from boyhood club Everton, he scored a hat-trick on his debut against Fenerbahce in the Champions League and from there on, the goals continued until he left in 2017.

Winning 12 major honours during his spell at Old Trafford, his latter career in Manchester was filled with persistent injuries and being played as a deep-lying midfielder and sometimes as a defensive midfielder.

He will be remembered for his finishing, variety of goals, partnerships with the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Robin Van Persie and pure aggression that saw him flourish in his earlier years.

Manchester United welcome inter-city rivals Manchester City to Old Trafford for the first Manchester derby of the season in Saturday’s early kick-off.

Manchester United have bounced back from their heavy home defeat to Liverpool with a win and a draw against Tottenham Hotspur and Atalanta respectively.

However, Manchester City will be a huge test for the Red Devils as they aim to break into the early title race, which involves City, Chelsea and Liverpool.

Pep Guardiola’s side have encountered some tough results as well in recent times – they were knocked out of the Carabao Cup by former Manchester United boss David Moyes and his current team West Ham United, ending a five-year streak without defeat in the competition.

Former Citizen Patrick Vieira led Crystal Palace to a 2-0 win at the Etihad Stadium but the Sky Blues come into the math with a win most recently under their belt.

The English champions smashed Club Brugge 4-1 in a performance that perfectly showcased the effectiveness of Guardiola’s 2-3-5 formation in attack (from a 4-3-3 starting formation) as Joao Cancelo got a hattrick of assists to help his side to victory.

United, on the other hand, needed their commercial juggernaut to save them once again.

They will be without star defender Raphael Varane for the derby after he was pulled during the draw with Gian Piero Gasperini’s side, while fellow centre-back Victor Lindelof’s progress will be monitored.

Paul Pogba will serve the second game of a three-match ban after his red card in the 5-0 loss to Liverpool.

City defender John Stones is set to stand in for Aymeric Laporte, who is also serving a ban for a sending off.

Ferran Torres is still sidelined after suffering a metatarsal injury and Kyle Walker will need to be assessed ahead of the match.

Forward Liam Delap has an ankle problem.

Teams

Manchester United (4-2-3-1) – Predicted: De Gea; Wan-Bissaka, Bailly, Maguire, Shaw; Fred, McTominay; Greenwood, Fernandes, Rashford; Ronaldo.

Manchester City (4-3-3) – Predicted: Ederson; Walker, Stones, Dias, Cancelo; Rodri, Bernardo, De Bruyne; Mahrez, Foden, Sterling.

Odds

Manchester United 7/2

Draw 14/5

Manchester City 7/10

Where To Watch

The match will kick-off at 12:30 pm on Saturday and will be available to watch on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Football.

Five Potential Candidates to replace Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as Manchester United Manager

With growing pressure mounting on current Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, with results of late being under par, rumours of his dismissal are at an all-time high.

His side currently sits seventh in the Premier League, with four wins from nine.

They have also lost three of their last five, with a 4-2 away loss to Leicester being followed up by a humiliating 0-5 home loss to rivals Liverpool.

With the writing on the wall for Ole, here are five managers who have been named as Solskjaers apparent successors.

Five Potential Candidates to replace Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as Manchester United Manager

1. Antonio Conte

The former Chelsea boss was one of the first names touted for the United job after Saturday’s defeat to Liverpool.

It has been reported that Conte does not normally take up a role mid-way through the season but he would be tempted if United made strong contact.

If Conte were to get the job, United would be getting a serial winner, winning the league numerous times with Juventus, Chelsea and Inter, but his hot head temperament and short-termism might sway United owners away from his appointment after his public fallouts with the each club’s hierarchy.

His time at Chelsea ended after winning the FA Cup in his second season, and a year prior he dominated the Premier League, winning it at a canter.

Conte is available after leaving Inter Milan in the summer and if the results for Ole worsen, he is the obvious choice.

2. Zinedine Zidane

Along with Conte, Zizou is the only big-name manager currently without a job after Zidane left his role at Real Madrid for a second time after leaving last summer.

His name has always been rumoured for the United role and would be the ideal candidate to take over from Solskjaer. He has a European pedigree, winning the three-peat in his first spell with Madrid along with two league titles.

With former Madrid stars Cristiano Ronaldo and Raphael Varane wearing the famous red shirt, it could be a reunion of sorts. If he were to get the job he would bring a much-needed lift and name value to a club in disarray.

Now rather or not he would be interested in the job is up for debate.

3. Erik ten Hag

The Dutchman has made a name for himself as Ajax manager, currently in his fifth season with the European giants. He made a sleeping giant like Ajax into a well-oiled machine capable of beating anyone on their day.

His highlight as Ajax manager was bringing his side to the semi-finals of the Champions League where a last-minute goal from Lucas Moura saw Tottenham advance.

He is known for his free-flowing football and high attacking philosophy which would compliment how United fans would like their side to play.

If United were keen on his signature they would need to pay Ajax for his services as ten Hag recently extended his contract with Ajax through to the end of the 2022–23 season

4. Mauricio Pochettino

United fans first choice to take over from Jose Mourinho not so long ago, the former Tottenham manager was one of the most sought after managers during his time in the Premier League.

After losing in the Champions League final to Liverpool he was sacked by Spurs a few months later.

Taking over the PSG job in January 2021, he failed to win the Ligue 1 title in his first season and has come under some scrutiny with the squad he has.

His side currently sits top of the Ligue 1 table, 7 points clear after 11 games.

It seems unlikely that United would try to obtain a manager at another club, especially with the hefty buy-out clause they would have to pay the French giants.

5. Roberto Martinez

The current Belgium manager is a longshot for the job, with his position among Belgium FA officials still positive after his side were eliminated from the Quarter-final stage during Euro 2020.

The appointment of the former Wigan and Everton manager would not go down well with the Manchester United faithful, with his ultimate failure with Belgium’s golden generation being a major sticking point for many.

While he did spend a few years in the Premier League, he relegated Wigan and got sacked by Everton. If his handling of the Belgium job is anything to go by, a massive job like Manchester United may be a step too far for the Spaniard

Tottenham Hotspurs v Manchester United – Preview, Lineups, Betting, TV Coverage

Tottenham Hotspurs and Manchester United will go head-to-head on the Gameweek 10 of the 2021/2022 Premier League season.

This game will be an interesting game for both teams. The last time these two sides met was last April where Ole Gunnar Solskjaers came out 1-3 victors away from home. This is a far cry from their first encounter when United got thrashed 6-1 at Old Trafford in October.

Tottenham Hotspurs Retrospective

Tottenham currently sits 6th in the Premier League, winning 5 and losing 4 of their 9 games so far this season., although they have lost 3 out of their last 5 and are in desperate need of a win here.

Manchester United Retrospective

After high promise at the start of the season, United have hit a massive decline in form as of late. In the last outing, they lost 0-5 at home against Liverpool, fortunate to not have lost by more with the number of chances they gave Salah and company.

After their first nine games, they sit seventh in the table, having only won 4, drawing 2 and losing 3, picking up 14 points out of a possible 27.

Date, kick-off time and venue

This game between Tottenham Hotspurs and Manchester United will kick off at 5:30 pm BST (British Summer Time) on Saturday, October 30th, 2021, at The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Where to watch Tottenham Hotspurs v Manchester United

The game will be live on Sky Sports Premier League and subsequent channel Sky Sports Main Event with coverage starting at 5:00 pm.

Tottenham Hotspurs v Manchester United team news

Spurs will be without Ryan Sessegnon with no specific date set for his return.

Paul Pogba will miss the game through suspension after being sent off for a nasty tackle on Liverpool’s Naby Keita.

Anthony Martial could play some part after picking up a knock. While Raphael Varane has a 50% chance of returning after a serious groin injury.

Tottenham Hotspurs v Manchester United Prediction

This is a close one to call, with both sides and especially their managers in dire need of a much-needed 3 points here to avoid any more mounting pressure on their positions.

With more pressure on Ole to pick up a win to ease the pressure, some of the players at his disposal look like they don’t want to play for him.

While Nuno Espirito Santos side has looked woeful so far under his management, with striker Harry Kane looking disinterested, scoring one league goal this campaign against relegation stricken Newcastle.

I can see it going either way but I am going for a Spurs win here.

Prediction: Tottenham 2-0

Predicted Line-Up

Tottenham Hotspurs Predicted XI – (4-2-3-1)

H. Lloris, Regulión, E. Dier, D. Sánchez, Emerson, G. Lo Celso, P. Hojberg, H. Son, T. Ndombele, Lucas, H. Kane

Manchester United Predicted XI – (4-2-3-1)

Mo Salah made fans go wild after he scored a hat-trick at Old Trafford in Liverpool’s 5-0 win over bitter rivals Manchester United.

The Egyptian King got his first three-goal haul of the season as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Red Devils crumbled in front of their fans.

Two of those goals came before half-time, with the third providing the killer blow at the start of the second half.

With his goals, the 29-year-old broke three records in one day and equalled another to add to the emphatic win away from home.

Salah became the Premier League’s highest-scoring African player with his first goal of the match, surpassing Ivorian Didier Drogba’s total of 184 in 89 fewer games.

He became the first player to score a hat-trick at Old Trafford in the Premier League and the first man to do so in all competitions since Ronaldo Nazario in 2003.

The Liverpool forward extended the club record he had set against Atletico Madrid on Wednesday for the most consecutive games in all competitions with at least one goal.

His first strike against United brought his current streak into double-digits with ten and also equalled the club record for most consecutive away games with at least a goal.

Salah equalled Sam Raybould’s record of scoring in five consecutive away trips for the club, a record that has stood since 1902.

He now sits on 10 goals in the league, three ahead of anyone else on the charts, with a further five from Liverpool’s three games in the UEFA Champions League.

Liverpool continue their unbeaten start to the season and are currently 13 matches into 2021-22 without tasting defeat once.

The win sees them keep in the early race for first place, sitting second a point behind Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea and a point ahead of Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City.

They face Preston North End next in round four of the EFL Cup on Wednesday, October 27 at 7:45 pm.

Liverpool will travel down the M62 on Sunday to face their greatest rivals for the first time this season – Manchester United.

Liverpool are coming into the game unbeaten so far this season but with several shaky moments on record.

Matches against Brentford and Atletico Madrid have underlined the defensive frailties that Liverpool have when their midfield is ineffective.

Yet, they remain one of the early title-chasers and will aim to be in a similar situation by the end of the season, making games like this extremely important.

Manchester United have had a rough time in the Premier League in the last few weeks with two losses and a draw in their last three games.

However, their last game is a morale-boosting comeback win over Atalanta in the UEFA Champions League and the team will hope to continue on from that.

Liverpool will be the toughest opponent they have faced all season and, with poor results against worse teams in recent memory, could be an uphill battle for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and the squad.

Alisson and Fabinho will be available for the match after missing last week’s 5-0 win over Watford.

The pair played against Atletico Madrid after quarantining in Spain so that they could play in the match.

The game is likely to come too soon for Thiago Alcantara, though – the Spain international continues to recover from a calf injury.

The Spaniard has missed six games since picking up an injury and is set to miss a seventh this weekend but Klopp is hopeful that Curtis Jones can return.

Both Marcus Rashford and Fred appeared to sustain knocks during United’s game with Atalanta.

Raphael Varane continues to be sidelined after hurting his groin while with France but his international colleague Anthony Martial has been back in training this week and looks to be pushing for inclusion in the matchday squad.

Amad Diallo is edging closer to fitness but Ole has revealed he expects the Ivory Coast to get an Under-23s outing before being considered for the first team again.

Teams

Manchester United – Probable: De Gea; Wan-Bissaka, Maguire, Lindelof, Shaw; McTominay, Pogba; Rashford, Fernandes, Greenwood; Ronaldo.

Liverpool – Probable: Alisson; Trent, Matip, Van Dijk, Robertson; Fabinho, Henderson, Oxlade-Chamberlain; Salah, Firmino, Mané.

Odds

Manchester United 2/1

Draw 5/2

Liverpool 6/5

Where To Watch

The match will kick-off at 4:30 pm and will be available to watch on Sky Sports Football and Sky Sports Main Event as part of Super Sunday.

Leicester City v Manchester United – Preview, Lineups, Betting, TV Coverage

Leicester City and Manchester United will go head-to-head on the Gameweek 8 of the 2021/2022 Premier League season.

This game will be an interesting game for both teams. The last time these two sides met was last May where Brendan Rodger’s side came out 1-2 victors at Old Trafford. Leicester also took 4 points from 6 from United in the 2020/2021 season.

Leicester City Retrospective

Brendan Rodger’s side have gone under the radar with how poor they have been so far this season. Currently sitting 13th in the league table. They have fallen off after contending for Champions League football the past 2-3 seasons.

In their last game, they threw away a 2 goal lead at Crystal Palace, ending up a point after goals from Michael Olise and Jeffrey Schlupp.

Winning 2, losing 3 and drawing 2 after seven games, picking up 8 points from a possible 21, they will need a win here.

Manchester United Retrospective

After high promise at the start of the season, United have hit somewhat of a decline in form as of late. In the last outing, they drew 1-1 at home against Everton but were fortunate to not have lost after a Yerry Mina goal was chalked off for offside.

After their first seven games, they have won 4, lost 1 and drawn 2, picking up 14 points out of a possible 21.

Date, kick-off time and venue

This game between Leicester City and Manchester United will kick off at 3:00 pm BST (British Summer Time) on Saturday, October 16, 2021, at The King Power Stadium.

Where to watch Leicester City v Manchester United

The game will not be televised on any UK based platform.

Leicester City v Manchester United team news

Midfielder Wilfred Ndidi is out with a thigh injury and is expected to be back fit sometime next month.

James Justin is also out with a knee injury and is also expected back in November. While defender Jonny Evans is in contention to start after an ankle issue.

Marcus Rashford is in contention to get his first competitive game since last summer’s European Championship after his shoulder surgery.

Harry Maguire is still in doubt with a foot injury but may start. While defensive partner Raphael Varane picked up a groin injury on international duty and is set to miss out.

Leicester City v Manchester United Prediction

This is a close one to call, with Leicester in dire need of much-needed 3 points here to avoid any talk of relegation.

While United have many fans and pundits alike to silence after some woeful performances.

I can see it going either way but I am going for a United win here, but just.

Prediction: Manchester United 1-2

Premier League clubs including Liverpool and Manchester City will face sanctions if they use any of their Brazilian players from September 10 – September 14.

The Brazilian FA asked FIFA to enforce rules on clubs that do not release their players for international breaks.

Eight players from five clubs in the Premier League will be affected by the five-day ban and the fixtures affected will include European ties at the start of next week.

The rule is designed to protect international teams from any withdrawals that are deemed unnecessary.

Everton forward Richarlison will not be affected by the ban with the Brazilian FA citing the good relations between themselves and Everton after the Merseyside club allowed their player to be part of his national Olympic squad.

Liverpool will be without Alisson, Fabinho and Roberto Firmino as a result of the ban – although Firmino is injured.

Liverpool are set to face Leeds United at Elland Road on Sunday, September 12 and host AC Milan in the first of their UEFA Champions League group stage ties at Anfield on Wednesday, September 15.

It is expected that Republic of Ireland goalkeeper Caoimhín Kelleher will make his first appearance of the season against Marcelo Bielsa’s Yorkshire club.

Thiago Alcantara is in line for his first start of the season as well after a long summer that saw Spain make a strong run at Euro 2020, losing out to eventual champions Italy in the semi-final.

Bobby Firmino’s injury against Chelsea meant that he was not expected to play against Leeds anyway and the preparations for the tie will remain unchanged if he was not expected to be on the bench.

Leeds United will also be affected by this ban as Raphinha will be unavailable for their upcoming game against Jurgen Klopp’s men.

Manchester City will be without Ederson and Gabriel for their trip to the King Power Stadium on Saturday.

Manchester United’s Fred and Chelsea’s Thiago Silva will miss two games for their clubs as a result of the ban.
