Preview
Westmeath come into this game looking for their first win of the campaign. Shane O’Brien’s side face a very difficult assignment here. They lost to Galway 1-24 to 0-10 in the opening round, before succumbing to a 3-18 to 1-15 loss to Waterford two weeks ago. Players like Niall Mitchell, Killian Doyle, Eoin Price and Aonghus Clarke will be key to the Lake County chances here.
Cork come into the game on the back of one win and one loss under Kieran Kingston. They lost narrowly to Waterford in the opening round at Walsh Park 1-24 to 3-17. They beat All-Ireland champions Tipperary 2-24 to 1-25 last time out at Pairc Ui Chaoimh in an entertaining contest. Conor Lehane, Patrick Horgan and Declan Dalton will be key in attack. Damien Cahalane, Rob Downey and Colm Spillane will be key men in defence.
