Preview
Carlow come into this game on the back of two losses from two games. They lost to Clare on the opening weekend by 16 points, 1-27 to 0-14. Colm Bonnar’s charges also lost to Kilkenny by a wide margin 3-21 to 0-09. They sit bottom of the table and really need a win here. However, they have quality players like Chris Nolan, Marty Kavanagh and James Doyle in attack. Damian English and Alan Corcoran will be key men in the defence.
Mattie Kenny’s side come into the game on the back of one win and one loss from two games. They were hammered by Kilkenny 3-21 to 0-18 in the opening round. They made amends for that defeat with a 4-18 to 2-17 win over Laois. Key players for Mattie Kenny will be Oisin O’Rorke, Mark Schutte and Donal Burke in attack. Eoghan O’Donnell and Sean Moran will be key players in the backs.
